Wyevale Nurseries based near Hereford are one of the largest producers of top quality nursery stock for garden centres and the landscape market. They produce a range of plants from small shrubs through to large trees. Wyevale also offer a full range of services and products for garden centres, local authorities, landscape contractors, housing developers, builders, business park developers and many more.
Last year Wyevale Nurseries in conjunction with their irrigation supplier Ripple Irrigation, installed the Netafim Pressure Compensated tree stake in their container grown tree area. The PC tree stake has the following advantages compared to other drip systems:- Improves distribution and efficiency of pot plant irrigation Prevents the formation of internal channels in soil-less substrates that cause inefficient irrigation Allows better water uptake by the substrate Ensures uniformity of watering along the rows and across the blocks due to the pressure compensated dripper
The spray stake has been well received according to irrigation manager Justin Williams who said that he would continue to use the product where it was applicable and that the water distribution was much better than other products which dripped onto a single point.
Netafims PC spray stake is available in the following format:- PCJ dripper 12 ltr/hr (standard or CNL on request) 20 and 25l outputs also available 0.6, 0.8, or 1.0 metre micro tube length depending on application Elbow connector with barb at one end to hold micro tube and the other end female cylinder shaped for connection to the spray stake The above three are supplied ready assembled Spray stake is coloured and incorporates a stopper when not in use Available in 180 and 360 degree version
The Netafim pressure compensated spray stake is suitable for the following applications:- Mainly in medium/large pots (over 30cm diameter) Cut flower nurseries Container tree nurseries Open ground tree nurseries Specimen plant growers
