Revaho UK are delighted to be involved with the latest research project at Broom's Barn Research Facility near Bury St Edmunds. The aim of the project is to look at the effects of irrigation on onion yield, quality, and storage.
We have installed irrigation headers, laterals, and Netafim Dripnet PC dripplerlines to allow the precise control of each block within the entire project.
The scheme is funded by the HDC and is being overseen by DR Tim Lacey of Vegetable Consultancy Services Ltd of Attleborough in Norfolk. The aim of the research is to identify optimum irrigation practices in order to maximise marketable percentages, and increase the storage period of the bulb onions.
