A small London garden that provides a green oasis for the owner as well as screening from the neighbours has had installed a new irrigation system and water storage system.
After the hose pipe bans of 2006 the owner was determined that his large investment in screening and exotic plants was not placed at risk again. A large tank was installed under the lawn that took water from the house roof via filtered 3P interceptors. This went into a further underground 3P filter unit and the water then enters the tank via a calmed inlet. In drought conditions it is possible to use grey water and a mains fill system was incorporated to fill the tank with enough water for one irrigation cycle.
An extensive drip system was used with mainly Netafim Techline at 30cm in line spacing for the front and rear garden and the lawn used 6 x MPR 1000 Rotator 90 -210 nozzles on 4 “ Risers.
A pot watering system is incorporated using the Antelco adjustable out put drippers to cope with wide range of specimens and pot size that the owner has.
